Reflecting on his football journey, McAfee revealed, "I started playing football at 7 years old, but I didn't fully commit until I was 12. My dad introduced me to flag football first, and then I transitioned to tackle." It was during those formative years that his love for the sport began to blossom.

When it comes to the recruiting process, McAfee's excitement was evident. "My recruiting process has gone pretty good," he exclaimed. "I was blessed to receive my first offer from Maryland, and then Virginia Tech extended an offer after a camp. So yeah, I thank God every day." With college opportunities beginning to present themselves, McAfee's future on the gridiron seems bright.

As McAfee evaluates different schools, he focuses on key factors that will shape his decision. "First and foremost, I want to see how the coaches are and how the team interacts with each other," he explained. "Finding the right place for me is important. Additionally, I consider factors such as facilities and, most importantly, the quality of education. When the time comes, I believe God will guide me to the right decision."

Looking beyond football, McAfee expressed his passion for photography. "After football, I would like to get into photography more because I have an interest in that," he revealed. His desire to capture moments and tell stories through the lens is an artistic pursuit that complements his athletic talents. Furthermore, McAfee expressed an interest in computer science, acknowledging the importance of technology in today's world. "Computers and the internet are where it's at right now," he said, hinting at his aspiration to explore the vast possibilities in the field.
