During the offseason, Powell-Wonson had the incredible opportunity to play 7v7 football for Level 82 under the guidance of former NFL Super Bowl Champion, Torrey Smith. This experience undoubtedly sharpened his abilities and helped him refine his craft. The valuable insights gained from playing alongside a champion will undoubtedly serve him well as he progresses in his football career.

Powell-Wonson's statistics over the past two seasons speak volumes about his talent and productivity on the field. With an impressive 29 touchdowns, 2200 yards, 137 receptions, and a 12.7 average per catch, he has consistently showcased his ability to make an impact in games. His skill set, combined with his natural athleticism, has caught the attention of numerous colleges and programs.

Speaking of colleges, Jahmari Powell-Wonson has committed to the University of Maryland, joining their football program as a proud member of the class of 2024. However, Maryland was not the only institution vying for his talents. With interest from schools such as Pittsburgh, Old Dominion, Liberty, Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Charlotte, it is evident that his skills have not gone unnoticed.

When reflecting on his high school football journey, Powell-Wonson expresses his desire to rewrite the narrative surrounding Baltimore City College High School. With a focus on both academics and athletics, he aimed to prove that the school is not solely known for its academic excellence. Through his success and the 20+ scholarships he has received, Powell-Wonson hopes to inspire future generations and demonstrate that D1 interest from big schools is attainable for any student-athlete.

Among the many highlights of his high school career, Powell-Wonson's most memorable moments include earning back-to-back MVP titles in the historic "City v Poly game" rivalry. This fall, he aims to secure the MVP honor for a third consecutive year, solidifying his legacy as an outstanding player in the game's history.
