Larry Moon III is steadily turning heads as one of the premier wide receivers in the 2027 class. The 4-star standout from IMG Academy in Florida stands 6-foot, 180 pounds, and continues to separate himself with both his production and approach to the game.

Moon’s love for football started early and came naturally. “I started playing football when I was seven years old… it’s something I always wanted to do, but I couldn’t because my dad didn’t want me to get hurt,” he said. Once he finally got his chance, the game quickly became a part of who he is.

Much of Moon’s development has come from learning different perspectives while staying grounded at home. “I train with a few people so I can learn new things from everyone,” Moon said. “My dad has been training me my whole life and got me to the point that I am today.” He’s also quick to credit those around him, adding, “I’m grateful for all the coaches who have poured into me because without them I wouldn’t know the game as well as I do.”

The 2025 season was one to remember at IMG. “We went 10-0 as a team and I got to bond with brothers for the rest of my life,” Moon said. The undefeated run only sharpened his focus heading into the next phase. “Going into 2026 my main goals are to be a National Champion and dominate any and everybody who lines up across from me.”

Recruiting has taken off in a big way. “The recruiting process is great… I currently have 52 Division One scholarships from all over the country,” Moon shared. Programs like Clemson, Colorado, Florida State, Wake Forest, Florida, Texas A&M, and Nebraska are already in the mix, with more continuing to come in as coaches evaluate his upside and consistency.

Off the field, Moon keeps things simple and balanced. “I like to go fishing, play chess, watch film, and just hang out with family,” he said. “I’m a pretty chill guy. I don’t do too much.” That calm demeanor, paired with a relentless on-field mindset, continues to set Larry Moon III apart as one of the most exciting receivers in the 2027 class.
