RICHMOND, VA – One of the rising names in Virginia high school football, Class of 2027 quarterback Ralphie Puccinelli is starting to turn heads — and fast. The 6’3”, 215-pound signal-caller from Glen Allen High School recently made waves at the Spotlight 39 Pro Day Camp, where he walked away with the QB MVP honors.

“My experience at the Spotlight 39 Pro Day Camp was amazing,” Puccinelli said. “I was taught by great coaches, and ones that actually wanted to see me work and get better.”

His performance during one-on-one drills stood out as a defining moment, showcasing the growth he’s made this offseason.

“I enjoyed 1 on 1s as I felt like it was the time I got to show everyone my abilities and what I can do in the given circumstance,” Puccinelli explained. “To pair with that, wrapping up by winning the MVP award out of the QBs showed the work and hours I’ve been putting in this offseason, so seeing that finally show means a lot.”

Now at Glen Allen after transferring in for the spring semester, Puccinelli is embracing his new environment with maturity and focus — on and off the field. He currently holds a 3.8 GPA and is approaching this offseason with intensity.

“My main focuses right now are just getting in the weight room, continuing to increase all aspects of my throw — velocity, power, speed, etc. — and better understanding/studying reads and coverages,” he said.

Puccinelli’s offseason continues with a trip to the Rivals Camp in Charlotte and a visit to Syracuse to catch a spring practice. He’s also scheduled to attend camps at JMU, with invites from Miami Ohio, West Virginia, and Princeton already rolling in.

With high expectations for his new squad, Puccinelli is setting the tone early as a leader.

“My goal for this team is to take them far,” he said. “I want to be a leader on and off the field — in the weight room, during the school day, and of course at practice. I want to build relationships and chemistry, which I think will play a huge role in our future success.”

As for personal goals? Puccinelli isn’t shy about aiming high.

“My personal goal alongside that would be to lead them there. I want to break records and bring home two state rings in my time left in high school!”

With talent, drive, and a clear vision for what’s ahead, Ralphie Puccinelli is a name you’ll want to remember in the Class of 2027.
