Norman North High School in Oklahoma boasts a new beacon of talent in the form of 4-star wide receiver Mason James. Standing at 5’11 and weighing in at 170lbs, James has been making waves in the football scene since his early days in pre-k, where he first dipped his toes into the sport through flag football.

"I started playing football pretty early," James reminisces. "I started flag football in pre-k and from there I started tackle football in 3rd grade, and since then, I fell in love with the game!"

Aside from his high school coaches, James credits his collaboration with Margin Hooks for honing his skills on the field. "Yes, I train with Margin Hooks, and I also run track," he adds, highlighting his multifaceted approach to athletic development.

With a staggering 20 Division I offers under his belt, James remains humble and open-minded about his recruitment journey. "I received my first offer in October from The University of Oklahoma, and ever since then, more schools have been offering, and it's been a really big blessing," he shares. "No school is in front right now; my recruitment is still 100% open."

As he gears up for the upcoming football season, James isn't resting on his laurels. "I will be attending a few college camps and also going to rivals camp and playing in a few more 7on7 tournaments," he reveals. "My main goal is to stay healthy, so I also do a lot of recovery stuff!"

Beyond the gridiron, James finds joy in spending time with loved ones and attending Victory Church. "I love to hang out with my family and spend time with them and friends," he expresses. "I attend Victory Church!"

A connoisseur of music, James's playlist reflects his eclectic tastes, with rap, hip hop, and R&B taking center stage. His commitment to both his athletic and personal growth sets him apart as a dynamic force to be reckoned with both on and off the field. As Mason James continues to shine, his journey promises to inspire generations of athletes to come.
