Seminole High School in Sanford, FL, has been buzzing with excitement as their standout quarterback, Michael Clayton II, continues to make waves both on and off the field. Standing tall at 6’4” and weighing in at 200lbs, Clayton possesses not only physical prowess but also a sharp intellect, maintaining a stellar 4.0 GPA.

"I've always played, starting with flag football at 6 years old. It's something I've always felt is fun, exciting, and challenging," Clayton shared, reflecting on his journey into the world of football. His passion for the game has been evident from an early age, driving him to excel and push the boundaries of his abilities.

In his quest for excellence, Clayton doesn't rely solely on his high school coaches but actively seeks out additional expertise. "I work primarily with two trainers; Bert Wihgham with The Draft Academy for speed and strength, and Baylin Trujillo for QB training," Clayton explained, highlighting his commitment to honing his skills both physically and strategically.

Recruiting season is in full swing for Clayton, with a flurry of offers from esteemed institutions pouring in. "Recruiting is going good, started 2023 spring, and really has picked up in the last 3-4 months," Clayton remarked. With offers from a multitude of prestigious schools such as Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Miami, Clayton faces the daunting task of weighing his options carefully.

While Clayton remains focused on his football aspirations, he dedicates significant time and effort to prepare for the upcoming season during the off-season. "Off-season is always the time for me to improve and work on my game," Clayton emphasized. From enhancing his physical attributes to fine-tuning his quarterback skills and building chemistry with his teammates, Clayton leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit of excellence.

Beyond the gridiron, Clayton's interests and values set him apart. "My relationship with God is the foundation of my life, and I am involved in a Church," Clayton revealed, underscoring the importance of faith and community in his life. In addition to his spiritual endeavors, Clayton enjoys unwinding with activities like playing basketball with friends and soaking up the sun on beach days.

As Michael Clayton II continues to make strides in his football career, his dedication, versatility, and commitment to excellence serve as a testament to his potential to leave an indelible mark on the world of sports. With a promising future ahead, Clayton's journey is one that fans eagerly anticipate witnessing unfold on the field and beyond.
