At just 6’3” and 175 pounds, Brandon Arrington, a 4-star athlete hailing from Mount Miguel High School in California, is making waves in both football and track. With a solid 3.25 GPA backing his athletic prowess, Arrington's determination and drive are evident both on and off the field. When asked about his football journey, Arrington shared, “I started playing football at 7 years old because my older brother was doing it, and my dad signed me up. It's been a passion ever since.”
Arrington's commitment to honing his skills extends beyond his high school team. He credits his development to working with seasoned trainers like Scottie Young, a former D1 athlete who left a mark at both Arizona and West Virginia. Additionally, his track coach, whom he's been training with since the age of 10, plays a crucial role in his athletic growth. "I'm not perfect, so I’m just staying focused," Arrington remarks, emphasizing his dedication to continuous improvement.
As he gears up for the upcoming football season, Arrington sets his sights on winning the 200m state championship in California while fine-tuning his football skills. His offseason regimen revolves around field work and maintaining his competitive edge. "My goals are to win state in the 200m and keep working on my craft," he asserts, highlighting his commitment to excellence.
Arrington's talent hasn't gone unnoticed, with a slew of universities expressing interest and extending offers. Some include Tennessee, Alabama, San Diego State to Oregon, the opportunities are abundant. However, two schools stand out for Arrington: "SDSU is close to home, and Oregon has a great track and football program," he explains. These factors weigh heavily in his decision-making process as he navigates his future in collegiate athletics.
Beyond the football field and the track, Arrington's interests paint a picture of a well-rounded individual. He enjoys spending time with friends, indulging in video games, and giving back to the community by supporting and inspiring the youth. His multifaceted personality reflects a young athlete poised for success not only in sports but in life as well.
