Fredericksburg, Virginia - St. Michael Catholic High School's standout defensive back, Remington Moss, is making waves in the world of high school football. At 6'2" with impressive skills and a GPA of 3.6, Moss is a force to be reckoned with both on and off the field. As he navigates his journey through high school football, Moss remains uncommitted but has garnered interest from several prestigious college programs.

Moss began his football journey in 2020, starting his training as a defensive back. Motivated by his older brother, he pushed himself to catch up and excel. Last summer, Moss transferred to St. Michael Catholic, where his hard work paid off. He enjoyed a successful season, proving his talent and dedication.

Throughout his high school football career, Moss has experienced numerous memorable moments. From receiving his first offer to celebrating big wins with his team, these experiences have fueled his passion for the game. His playing style is defined by his length, physicality, and excellent ball skills. While his prowess lies in press man coverage, he also thrives as a safety or corner.

Moss has caught the attention of several colleges and programs, including Virginia Tech, Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, and Rutgers. The recruitment process has been both exciting and time-consuming for Moss. Building relationships with coaches and visiting schools have provided him with diverse perspectives and a deeper understanding of the game.

Balancing academics and athletics has been a priority for Moss throughout his high school years. He remains committed to his studies, ensuring that his assignments are completed ahead of schedule while maintaining strong grades. Moss credits his brother and his DB coach as his most significant mentors, while his teammates motivate him during practice sessions.

Challenges have come along Moss's path, especially as he realizes the target on his back grows bigger. Overcoming this hurdle, he stays dedicated to his craft and continues his relentless pursuit of improvement. Moss's goals for his junior season include leading his team in interceptions and pass breakups, with the ultimate aim of securing a state championship and leaving a lasting legacy with his teammates.

Looking beyond football, Moss aspires to share his knowledge and training by becoming a coach. His dream is to train future players, instilling in them the skills and dedication that shaped his own journey.

With his exceptional talent, work ethic, and dedication to both academics and athletics, DB Remington Moss is undoubtedly a rising star in high school football. As he continues to make strides, it's only a matter of time before he finds his rightful place in college football and leaves an indelible mark on the sport.
