Meet Tevis Metcalf, a 3-star cornerback hailing from Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, AL. Standing at 5'10" and weighing 178 pounds, Metcalf has caught the attention of football enthusiasts across the nation with his exceptional skills on the field. Committed to the University of Arkansas, his journey in football is nothing short of inspiring.

Metcalf's passion for the game ignited at a young age. He shared, "My football journey started when I played Pee-Wee league football. I was born into sports. My family has a history of playing sports. So being around it all the time, I gained a strong interest in sports and wanting to be a top player."

While many athletes have mentors who guide them, Tevis's journey was uniquely guided by his father, who not only played and coached several sports but also imparted invaluable wisdom. "My dad was my first coach. He trained me and my brother initially and he still reinforces certain things to help us along the way," Metcalf explained.

Metcalf's recruiting journey began early, around 8th grade. "My parents had me write down several colleges that I could see myself attending. We started researching the colleges and their football programs," he said. His hard work and dedication were rewarded when he attended camps, including one at the University of Alabama, where he won the camp award for his stellar performance. His journey eventually led him to commit to the University of Arkansas, a decision he made because "the coaches make me feel like I've belonged since they offered me. It's a great feeling, it's home."

As his senior football season approaches, Metcalf's aspirations are clear: "My goal is to be the best teammate and a great leader that I can be for this team. I want to help lead this team to a state championship. I also want to build upon my past success and want to be the best DB in high school football."

Beyond the gridiron, Metcalf's interests are diverse. "I enjoy spending time with my family. Family is very important to me. I enjoy science. I also like to compete against my friends while playing on my video game," he shared.

With his commitment to excellence both on and off the field, Tevis Metcalf is undoubtedly a name to watch in the world of football. His dedication, strong family support, and determination to succeed are propelling him toward a bright future.
