2027 QB Jahiem Jackson: Louisa HS (VA)
Louisa High School quarterback Jahiem Jackson is wanting to build a name for himself as one of Virginia’s most determined prospects in the Class of 2027. Standing at 5’10” and 150 pounds, Jackson may not fit the traditional mold at the position, but his mindset and work ethic continue to separate him as he prepares for a pivotal stretch in his high school career.
Jackson’s football journey began a bit later than most, but his passion for the game was sparked close to home. “I first started playing football when I was nine which is kinda late but my motivation was really from my big brothers and older cousins and the impact they had when they played football,” he said. Watching them compete fueled a competitive fire that still drives him today. “It just made me wanna work so I can be better than them.”
That motivation shows up most clearly in how Jackson approaches his training. While many quarterbacks rely on constant group workouts, he often prefers solitude. “I mostly train alone… most of the time I’m outside at my house with my cones and throwing net getting work in,” Jackson explained. For him, isolation equals focus.
Jackson believes those solo sessions have played a major role in his development. “I feel like me isolating myself and working is the best thing you can do, there’s no distractions and you do what you know you gotta get done,” he said. That discipline has helped him sharpen his timing, mechanics, and overall feel for the game.
Reflecting on the 2025 season, Jackson entered the year with a clear objective. “My goal in 2025 was to have a good junior year,” he said. While opportunities were limited, he feels he made the most of them. “I feel like I did good with the few opportunities that I had.”
Looking ahead, Jackson sees the 2026 offseason as a defining moment. “2026 offseason is straight work, it’s now or never,” he said. “I feel like this is the season I really show everyone what I can do.” That sense of urgency is shaping his preparation as he eyes next year’s Friday Night Lights.
On the recruiting front, Jackson remains realistic but undeterred. “I don’t have any offers sadly, but I’m still working and that’s the main goal,” he shared. Rather than focusing on what hasn’t come yet, he’s committed to controlling what he can—his performance and consistency.
Away from football, Jackson enjoys keeping things simple and grounded. “If I’m not working I’m just chilling on the game and listening to music,” he said, noting UFC as his go-to. He also appreciates stepping away from the field. “I like to just go to the city sometimes… go watch a movie or out to eat.”
As Jackson continues to grind, his blend of focus, humility, and hunger could make his upcoming season one to remember.
