2027 4-Star RB Andrew Beard: Prince Avenue Christian (GA)

Jerry “Andrew” Beard II is quickly establishing himself as one of the most complete running backs in the 2027 class. The 4-star standout and Navy All-American from Prince Avenue Christian School (GA) brings a powerful, compact build at 5’10, 198 pounds, paired with vision, burst, and a growing leadership presence that shows up every Friday night.

Beard’s love for football started at a young age, and it’s rooted in family. “I first started playing when I was 6 and I would say my dad made me fall in love with the game,” he said. That early foundation has shaped his approach to the sport, blending passion with discipline as he’s continued to develop into a high-level prospect.

A big part of Beard’s growth has come from his training environment. He credits Coach Beckwith of Woodward High School for helping elevate his game. “I train with Coach Beckwith out of Woodward Highschool and I feel like he has just made drastic advancements to my game and play style,” Beard explained, pointing to technical refinement and consistency as keys to his development.

The 2025 season came with lofty expectations, and Beard is honest about where he fell short. “My goal for 2025 was to go for 2,000 all purpose yards and win a state championship,” he said. “I fell short on both of those, but for 2026 I want to accomplish both and become a better leader at the same time.” That mindset reflects a player focused not only on production, but on growth and accountability.

On the recruiting trail, Beard continues to gain serious attention from national programs. “Recruiting is going pretty good for me right now,” he shared. “I have it narrowed down to 5 schools Georgia, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Oregon.” He added that each program has made a strong impression, saying, “These schools have just showed me so much love the past couple months and I would love to play for any of them.”

Away from the spotlight, Beard prides himself on character and balance. “I feel like I try to be respectful and kind to everybody and never take anything for granted,” he said. When he’s not on the field, he enjoys competing in track and spending time with friends, rounding out the profile of a driven athlete with humility and perspective.
