2027 3-Star DB Kenaz “Naz” Sullivan: The St. James Academy (VA)
Kenaz “Naz” Sullivan is emerging as one of Virginia’s most electric defensive backs in the Class of 2027. The 6’1, 190-pound 3-star DB and Under Armour All-American recently transferred from North Stafford High School to The St. James Academy, a move that places him on a national stage and aligns perfectly with his sky-high ambitions.
Sullivan’s love for football started almost as early as he could walk. “I first started when I was 4 years old,” he said, and that passion was driven by something much bigger than the game itself. “I fell in love with the game because it’s an opportunity for me to change me and my families lives.” That purpose has fueled his relentless approach ever since.
Behind Sullivan’s development is a tight-knit support system that has pushed him to grow on and off the field. “I train with my first trainer coach Q—he’s been with me since I was in the fifth grade and he’s been a great mentor,” Sullivan shared. He also credits his family, adding, “I also train with my god father and brother and they have helped push me a lot during my high school career.”
The 2025 season was a major checkpoint in Sullivan’s journey, and he attacked it with clear objectives. “My goals were to have 8 D1 offers coming out of the season and to receive all state for both sides of the ball,” he said. Reflecting on the results, Sullivan added, “I feel like I did very well with those two goals I wanted,” showing confidence in both his preparation and performance.
Looking ahead, Sullivan’s mindset is anything but modest. “My main goals for next season [are] to dominate my national schedule and shock the world,” he said. He’s not just chasing wins—he’s chasing respect. “I also want to be seen as a top player in the country,” a statement that captures his hunger to separate himself from the pack.
That mindset has already translated into massive recruiting success. “My recruiting process has been great and happened very fast,” Sullivan explained. He currently holds an eye-popping 33 Division I offers, including Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Indiana, and Miami. While several programs stand out, Sullivan remains locked in, noting, “There are some schools that stick out but I can’t answer that question right now.”
Off the field, Sullivan keeps things simple and grounded. “Outside of football I feel like I’m a laidback guy,” he said. In his downtime, he enjoys fishing, working out, watching film, gaming, and spending time with animals—activities that help him reset while staying sharp.
With elite size, a national schedule ahead, and one of the hottest recruiting profiles in the country, Kenaz “Naz” Sullivan is positioning himself for a breakout chapter at The St. James Academy. As he prepares to chase greatness under the Friday night lights, one thing is clear: Naz isn’t just playing the game—he’s playing for something much bigger.
