2026 QB Bill Dunn: Escambia HS (FL)
Escambia High School quarterback Billy Dunn made the most of his opportunities this season, despite facing unexpected challenges. The 6’3”, 190-pound signal-caller split reps with a senior and battled illness but still put up strong numbers. “I felt like I took advantage of my opportunities,” Dunn said. “I finished the season with 7 TDs, no interceptions, and a 138.9 QBR.”
Dunn entered the season with big goals, aiming to establish himself as the team’s QB1 and earn the trust of his teammates. “I wanted my work ethic to be obvious on and off the field,” he said. While the season didn’t go as planned, it has only fueled his motivation. “It just makes me even more focused for my senior year.”
Determined to improve, Dunn has committed to an intense offseason regimen. “My plan is to do something every single day to become a better QB and overall athlete,” he said. His training includes speed work, strength-building, and weight gain to prepare for a standout senior campaign.
Dunn’s journey to quarterback wasn’t typical—he only transitioned to the position as a freshman after playing tight end and receiver. And outside of football, he has a unique connection to two of his biggest inspirations. “I was born on the same day as two of the men I admire most—Martin Luther King Jr. and Drew Brees.”
With his sights set on leading Escambia next season, Dunn is determined to make his final high school year his best yet.
