2026 ATH Damyon Pearson: Brookwood (GA)

At just 5'10 and 160lbs, Damyon Pearson may not fit the prototypical football player mold, but his determination and passion for the sport have propelled him to the spotlight at Brookwood High School in Georgia. In a recent interview, he opened up about his football journey, role models, and aspirations.

"I started playing football when I was 8 or 7 years old. The reason why I wanted to play football was simply because I watched the NFL all the time, so me watching them inspired me to play it at a young age," Pearson recalled with a smile.

Throughout his journey, Pearson has had the support of dedicated coaches and trainers who played a significant role in shaping his skills. "A few trainers and coaches have helped me along the way and are still helping me as of now, such as @Grindseason3 (Coach Josh), Coach Raw, and @CoachLeeIV, etc.! Without them, I know for a fact I wouldn’t be where I am now," he acknowledged gratefully.

As for the recruiting process, Pearson remains optimistic about his potential opportunities. "I’d say the recruitment process is going good right now, and it all started the beginning of spring with the help of Coach Raw. But as of right now, I stand pretty good on where I’m at. Most colleges like my film, but they wanna see game film in order to offer me and see how well I do against varsity level players," he explained confidently.

Despite his dedication to football, Pearson also finds time to explore other interests and hobbies. "Aside from football, I like to travel or even learn about the world because I just think it’s a great thing to learn about or for you to have as knowledge. Also, I always think to myself on how I can be a better person or a better player in the near future," he shared, emphasizing the importance of personal growth and balance.

When asked about his role models and inspirations, Pearson spoke fondly of his father. "My biggest role model is my dad because he always teaches me and tells me new things about how to become a better player and master my craft to perfection or even becoming a better man than he’ll be," he said, highlighting the influence of his family in his football journey.

Furthermore, Pearson drew inspiration from a football icon, "I’d say my biggest inspiration is definitely Sauce Gardner; I’m usually watching his highlights to copy him and combine that with what I already know and what I will learn to become an even better player than him once it’s my turn."

With his unwavering determination, supportive mentors, and passion for the game, Damyon Pearson is undoubtedly a name to watch out for in the world of football. As he continues to excel both on and off the field, his future in the sport looks brighter than ever.
