2026 4-Star DL Elijah Golden: Cardinal Mooney HS (FL)

At 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, Cardinal Mooney High School’s Elijah Golden is one of the most sought-after defensive linemen in the 2026 recruiting class. A four-star prospect, Golden has already garnered attention from powerhouse programs across the country.

Golden’s football journey began at the age of seven, inspired by his passion for the game. “Watching football inspired me to play the sport,” he said. That early love for the game has translated into years of hard work and dedication.

During the offseason, Golden makes sure to stay ahead of the competition. “I work with my dad and my trainer, Coach Scrap,” he shared, emphasizing his commitment to development. His training regimen has helped shape him into a dominant force on the defensive line.

As a highly recruited player, Golden has received a large number of scholarship offers. While he remains open in his recruitment, a few schools have caught his attention. "Virginia Tech, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, and Oklahoma,” he revealed, signaling strong interest from some of college football’s elite programs.

Beyond football, Golden enjoys a mix of intensity and relaxation. “I like to work out as a hobby and chill in my house,” he said, showing his balanced approach to life both on and off the field.

When asked to describe himself in three words, Golden’s response was Loyalty, Leader, and Funny. “I am very loyal as a friend, teammate, and more. I lead my team and have leader traits. And I am very funny and outgoing.”

With his blend of size, skill, and leadership, Elijah Golden is a name to watch in the 2026 class. As he continues his journey, one thing is certain—his dedication and personality make him a standout both on and off the field.
