2026 4-Star ATH Demetres Samuel Jr.: Heritage HS (FL)

Palm Bay, FL - Demetres Samuel Jr., a standout 4-star athlete from Heritage High School, is making waves in the world of football. At 6’2 and 185lbs, Samuel possesses the athleticism and skill set that have caught the attention of college recruiters across the nation.

"I started playing football when I was 4," Samuel reveals. "From when I started watching football, I loved it; it runs in the family."

Behind every successful athlete is a team of dedicated mentors and coaches. Samuel is quick to credit his coaching staff, particularly highlighting Coach Eddie Mayes and Coach Frantz Polimice, for their unwavering support throughout his journey. "I personally want to thank Coach Eddie Mayes and Coach Frantz Polimice for helping me every step of the way," Samuel expresses his gratitude.

With college recruiters knocking on his door, Samuel's recruiting process began early. Despite the tactics employed by various schools, Samuel remained focused on finding the right fit. Ultimately, it was Syracuse University's culture and coaching staff that won him over. "I choose Syracuse because of the culture and the coaching staff," Samuel explains. "I want to show kids you don’t just have to go to big schools like Alabama and UGA to make a name for yourself."

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Samuel's goals are clear: "This season I’m working towards a state championship with my team and trying to build a pipeline to the Cuse."

Beyond the gridiron, Samuel is described as a hardworking and humble individual. He finds joy in coaching his little brother's football team, where his brother recently clinched a championship. Off the field, Samuel enjoys listening to music, watching TV shows, working out, and indulging in his passion for riding dirt bikes.

As Demetres Samuel Jr. continues to excel both on and off the field, he remains a testament to the power of dedication, perseverance, and staying true to oneself. With his sights set on success, there's no telling how far this rising star will soar.
